Self-Guided Pony Rides are Back!
Looking for pony rides near Toronto? The Ranch is located in Oakville, Ontario just minutes away.
A perfect introduction to riding for youngsters, our pony rides are outdoors and self-guided (a parent or guardian leads the pony). Our stable is equipped with special stirrups for little legs, and helmets are mandatory and free for your use.
Pony rides are on a first-come-first-served basis – no reservations are necessary! We also offer Pony Parties for a great all-inclusive birthday option!
TIMES:
May to September: 11am - 6pm Weekdays and 10am - 5pm Weekends and Holidays
(September to May - WEEKENDS ONLY 10am -3pm)
RATE:
$15.00 for 15 minutes
Self-Guided Pony Ride RULES:
- All pony rides are AT YOUR OWN RISK; ponies are cute, but they’re still little horses and can cause injury! All riders must hand in a completed waiver signed by a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN
- All riders must wear a helmet
- The pony must be guided BY AN ADULT at all times
- Adult guides must have 2 hands on the lead rope at all times; one hand near the halter and one holding the lead rope off the ground
- Children must hold on to the horn with both hands at all times
- Only one child on the pony at a time; other children may NOT walk near the pony
- Do not allow your pony to eat
- Keep OFF the grass
- Pony riding is restricted to the barnyard and outdoor arena; DO NOT go down the trail
- When finished, wait for a staff person to take the pony from you
