How To Become A Member

The Ranch has run its membership program for over 30 years, and its still going strong! Unlike most membership programs, there is no "fee" involved — all it means is that you, as a member, are free to come to the Ranch and ride, unguided, as you please, and you may also take your friends and family along with you.

Our membership program began as an answer for adults who didn't want years of lessons, or to invest in buying or keeping their own horse. It is designed for those of you who want to use our facilities and trails on a regular basis without a guide, and want a solid grounding in basic western riding and safety.

To become a member, you must be at least 16 years old and become certified through our lesson program — either with a group or privately (for details see lessons) — and pass a test to ensure that you are trail-safe.

**NEW in order to become a Ranch member, you will now be asked to complete 10 hours of mentored trails in addition to lessons. The 10 hours are sold as a "frequent rider" card for $320.00 (a $100 discount)**

When you have passed the test - you are free to enjoy any and all of our horses at a reduced hourly rate, and you are welcome to take advantage of our other special membership priviledges like clinics and special membership rides. You may also wish to become a 16 Mile Club member.
